Concatenating table rows with different column names

Dear Sir/Madam,

I've been dealing with information (eg yield table) from different subcons, on same product.  However, the tables may contain slightly different column names but they're meant to be on the same column.  Hence merging the tables from all subcons is a nightmare!

I have attached a simple table to illustrate what I need to accomplish.

If you could help to develop a command to merge tables with similar column names, that would help me (and JMP community) alot!

Thank you in advance!

Best regards,

I'm using JMP Ver 17.

How should the user-interface look like/how should JMP be able to determine which columns to concatenate if the names aren't the same or if they aren't in same order? Would you manually link all the matching columns to form pairs?

Hi jthi,

Yes it should allow users to manually match the column names to form pairs, and allow users to save the template for subsequent use.

Those columns that are not matched shall be put to the end of the concatenated table.

hi @Sarah-Sylvestre , I just found 2 more wishes with the same idea:
Concatenate: column matching

Concatenating table rows with different column names

Concatenate: option to specify column name match

could you please link the wishes. In total it's now 9 Kudos.
