JMP Wish List

We want to hear your ideas for improving JMP software.

  1. Search: Please search for an existing idea first before submitting a new idea.
  2. Submit: Post your new idea using the Suggest an Idea button. Please submit one actionable idea per post rather than a single post with multiple ideas.
  3. Kudo & Comment Kudo ideas you like, and comment to add to an idea.
  4. Subscribe: Follow the status of ideas you like. Refer to status definitions to understand where an idea is in its lifecycle. (You are automatically subscribed to ideas you've submitted or commented on.)

We consider several factors when looking for what ideas to add to JMP. This includes what will have the greatest benefit to our customers based on scope, needs and current resources. Product ideas help us decide what features to work on next. Additionally, we often look to ideas for inspiration on how to add value to developments already in our pipeline or enhancements to new or existing features.

Add preference to disable JSL Debugger completely

I cannot use JSL Debugger as (I think) it has some issue with my VPN (or my VPN has issue with it). When I accidentally run debugger it will completely freeze my JMP for few minutes. I would like to have an option to completely disable JLS debugger, make it response faster with an error or maybe we could figure out why it freezes and won't work.

First error message I receive is: "A time-out encountered while attempting to connect to the JSL Debugger GUI."

@jthi have you submitted this to JMP Technical Support?  If not, could you do so and we can look into this more closely.

No I haven't. I can do it when I get back to work next week.

Support has now been contacted, case number TS-00032103.

Also noticed that when posting/editing Wish List item in JMP Community page, it is using Tracking Number and after it has been posted it is changed to Case Number. It would be nice if these could be made same to reduce confusion.
