What inspired this wish list request?
Currently using the "Bootstrap" feature outputs Bias-Corrected (BC) Bootstrap 2-sided confidence limits. There is no option to request 1-sided confidence limits. Also, there are four BC confidence limit coverages outputted (0.95, 0.90, 0.80, 0.50) but no option for the user to specify other coverages. It would be useful for the user to specify what coverages to output besides these four.
What is the improvement you would like to see?
In the Bootstrap feature dialog box, have an ability to select 1-sided or 2-sided BC Bootstrap Confidence Intervals, as well as an option to specify desired coverages to output.
Why is this idea important?
There are many cases in industry where 1-sided confidence intervals are desired to be computed and Bootstrapping may be the only viable method to estimate these in some cases. The Bias-Corrected values are ideal vs. just estimating from the percentiles depending on distribution shape. Additionally, a Bias-Corrected coverage apart from the four outputted by default may be needed by the user.
