列プロパティ「値の色」をカラーテーマから選べるようにする

What inspired this wish list request? 

現在、値の色はカラーテーマから一括設定するか、個別の値についてWindows標準のカラーパレットから選ぶかしかない。

What is the improvement you would like to see? 

個別の値の色を、Windows標準のカラーパレットではなくカスタマイズしたカラーテーマからピックアップできるようにしてほしい。

Why is this idea important? 

Windows標準のカラーパレットで所望の色にするのはとても手間がかかるため。

Hello @OrthogonalHorse , thank you for your request. Today, you can do it from the data table and assign for one particular row a color like this 

Would you like this option from a graph, select one point and change the color of this particular point?

添付された画像で使われているのはWindows APIのColorDialogですよね。

要望は行の色分けではなく値の色分けについてだったのですが、値の色分けの場合でも個別の色設定にはこのダイアログが出ます。

しかしこのAPIで、いつも使うお気に入りの色を16,777,216色の中から選択する(R, G, B の各値を手打ちする)のは手間がかかります。

値の色分けのときには、グラフ用に環境設定で永続的にセットしたお気に入りの色のセット「カラーテーマ」を使うこともできるのですが、

残念ながら値の順序に基づき自動で色が選ばれてしまうので、「個別の値」に対する色はWindow APIのColorDialogで指定しないといけません。

この要望は、個別色のピックアップを自分で選んだカラーテーマから選択できるような仕組みが欲しいというものです。

Thank you @OrthogonalHorse for your answer. I'm investigating internally. Actually what is new in JMP 20 (release planned in March 2027), is our developer did add a categorical color theme preference to the color popup menu like this: 

This might meet your need, or maybe you mean another level of customization for this menu. This new feature is already available in the Early Adopter.
