Create a Dashboard

A dashboard is a visual tool that lets you run and present reports on a regular basis.

To create a dashboard:

  1. Open the windows that you want to combine.
  2. Select File > New > Dashboard (Windows) or File > New > New Dashboard (Macintosh).
  3. Select the Blank Dashboard template.
  4. From the Reports pane, double-click each open window to place it on the dashboard.
  5. From the Dashboard Builder red triangle menu, select Preview Mode.
  6. The reports are combined in a single dashboard window.

  7. Select File > Save As and save the dashboard as a .jmpapp file.
  8. If the data table is updated, you can double-click the .jmpapp file to show the updated reports in the dashboard.

You can also combine the windows using the Window > Combine Windows command.

  1. Open the windows that you want to combine.
  2. Select Window > Combine Windows.
  3. Name the dashboard.
  4. Select the windows that you want to combine.

  6. Click OK.
  7. The reports are combined in a single dashboard window.

  8. Select Edit Dashboard from the red triangle menu and then save the dashboard as a .jmpapp file.
  9. Saving the combined windows as a dashboard enables you to update the reports when the data table changes. Double-click the .jmpapp file to show the updated reports in the dashboard.
