Is there a way to standardize a column in my data table in JMP®?

Yes, there are several ways. Create a new column with a formula, and from the list of functions in the formula editor select Statistical ► Col Standardize. Alternatively, use the AnalyzeDistribution platform and in the results window select SaveStandardized from the inverted red triangle menu.

In JMP® 12 and later, another option is to right-click on the column of choice and select New Formula Column ► Distributional ► Standardize.

Hi,

I'm using JMP PRO 16.2.

Col Standardize is not working as I would have expected.

Was returning values in the range +/-1.5sigma. (vs. expected +/-3sigma)

Even though I excluded outlier rows in the dataset, the Col Standardize function is still using them as part of the calculation (hence not returning expected standardized values).
Breaking this down a little further, it appears that the Col Mean function will filter/exclude the excluded rows, but the Col Std Dev function does not.
Just adding as an FYI here for now.
