How to apply an updated JMP® license

JMP® licenses are now stored at my.jmp.com. The site representative for each account is able to view and download license files for each version and operating system. JMP licenses are version and operating system-specific.

To obtain an updated JMP license file:

  1. Log in to my.jmp.com with the site representative's My JMP ID
  2. Click the "Manage Software" section.
  3. Use the table to determine the Version and OS of the license file you need
  4. Click Download for the appropriate license and accept the Terms to continue
  5. On the last screen, click the link next to License to download the license file

The license file should now be in your Downloads folder.

There are two scenarios in which you can update a JMP license:

If your JMP license is expired, you are prompted for a new license upon launch. To renew your JMP license:

  1. Right-click the JMP icon and select "Run as Administrator"
  2. Click "Open License"
  3. Navigate to the TXT license file and select it
  4. Adding an administrator's name is optional

If the JMP license has not yet expired, then the process can be initiated from within JMP:

  1. Right-click the JMP icon and select "Run as Administrator"
  2. Navigate to File ► New ► Script
  3. Run the following script:
    • Renew License();
  4. Click "Open License"
  5. Navigate to the TXT license file and select it
  6. Adding an administrator's name is optional
