In this guide, we use the term JMP to refer to JMP, JMP Pro, JMP Live and JMP Clinical.
Starting with JMP 18, users must be authorized to use JMP. (Note: "authorization" means that a software administrator must pre-register a user's email address in My JMP.)
Administrators manage the list of users they approve using their email addresses, and do this in My JMP .
- Sign in to My JMP.
- Click Manage Software .
Manage Software
- Find your JMP product and version under My Software and click Manage to the right of it.
My Software
The following screen will appear, where you can manage authorizations for users. It will show the list of currently authorized users, the number of contracted users, and the number of users already authorized.
Authorized Users by Email Address

Whichever method you use, an email will be sent to each user's email address notifying them that they have been approved to use JMP.
Unauthorizing a user
If you want to unauthorise a user, follow these steps:
- Select one or more users for which you want to unapprove.
- Click Deauthorize Selected Emails .
The next time a deauthorized user launches JMP, a message appears stating that they are not authorized and JMP will not launch.
