confirmatory factor analysis

Could JMP perform CFA? I know it does EFA (multivariate--principal component). But does it have the capacity for CFA? Thank you!

Re: confirmatory factor analysis

I don't think CFA is implemented anywhere in JMP currently.  I found this old blog that describes doing SEM (CFA is a special case of SEM) in combination with SAS and JMP, but obviously you would need SAS as well.

Okay. What software do you use when you do CFA? My professor uses Amos, but I would have to pay for it because my university does not subscribe to it.

I don’t do CFA in my work, but you probably would need to go with R if you don't want to pay for software, and download a factor analysis package.
