changing method for one of the factors : how to include error in DoE analysis and Monte Carlo Simulation

Hello,

We are optimizing a process in the lab to be applied in production with the main objective to maximize the yield. One of the main challenges is that the method used to estimate one of the factors is not the same for lab (Method1) and production (Method2) with higher error in production.

My question is how to include Method2 error into the model ?

For more details, this factor is :

g acid /(g acid / g protein)

                         g protein   equals (g protein/kg suspension) x kg suspension

The difference is the method used to estimate g protein/kg suspension.

The error for Method1 should be already included in the model

For Method2 the error is 2.8% , with a RMSE of 0.9

For kg suspension: negligeable error < 1 %

For g acid: comparable error between lab and production 1 – 2 %

Do we need to add the protein concentration error for Method2 in the model ?

Thanks a lot !

You can add error to the response in the model in the simulator.
