What are requirements to perform Wilcoxon test in JMP

Are there any requirements to data distribution shape or variance to perform Wilcoxon test in JMP?

Thanks

This is a non-parametric test, so it makes no assumptions about the distribution. It is 'distribution-free.'

Are your groups matched pairs, or are they from independent groups?

The data are from independent groups.

I would like to know if any requirements for variance between the two groups, equal vs non-equal?

The data should be of equal variance and the measurement system should be of equal interval, but the distribution does not have to be normally distributed.

Thanks. Which function in JMP could be used if the data are not normal distribution and variance not equal?

It surprises me that a search for Wilcoxon in documentation returns multiple hits:

https://www.jmp.com/support/help/en/18.0/#search/Wilcoxon

I only knew may be a couple.

A read of some of them reveals two questions: what you data look like, and what is your hypothesis?

Here are some of the relevant hits:

All responses from Mark and Jim are relevant. But I think you need to read through those documentations and find the one that is appropriate for your situation.
