Hello everyone,
I have a response surface model with two input variables. I see that I can get a three-dimensional plot via Graph -> Surface Plot. But I would like to have a two-dimensional plot and just have a gradient colouring depending on the prediction model. Below is an example from a different software what I would like to have.
The only thing I can achieve in JMP (version 18.1) is this
and also this from the contour plot
Both visualizations are not exactly what would be nice for presentations. Projecting a 3D plot on 2D is not exactly plane and I cannot get a smooth colouring in the contour plot. It will always require levels for the colouring.
The actual colours in my examples differ, I'm sorry. I know how to adjust this in all of the examples.
Any help is welcome. Thank you very much!
In the bottom plot, you could right click into the graph, then select Contour > Number of Levels ... and set this to a high value. Below an example where the nr of levels is changed from 4 to 100.
Thank you very much for your reply. This works if I have for example one particular graph which I want to export. For several input/output combinations however, this is too time consuming. I will wait a little bit longer until accepting your answer. Maybe someone has an easier solution.
Otherwise I will make a proposal for the Wish List.
Would saving the above settings to a Platform Preset help?
