Thumbnail panel missing

I am going through Ch 2 of Discovering JMP and using the VA Lung Cancer Sample Data Table as referenced. It mentions a thumbnail panel in the text and in a screenshot, but my display does not have a thumbnail panel. I have gone to the View menu and Thumbnail Panel is checked. I am using JMP Pro 16.

The Thumbnail Panel is not displayed until you run a platform on the data table that produces an output display.
