Text annotation in graph builder

In graph builder,

I use text annotation to put comment on the graph builder (see picture #1 as example).

The other aspect of the issue is that I use multiple monitors and when I transfer the graph builder into another screen, the text annotation place in the window changes. Is it possible to make the aspect ratio for the graph builder locked?

Re: Text annotation in graph builder

Isn't the text in same place in both images, Y ~113 and X at Patty?

Re: Text annotation in graph builder

Thanks for your reply @jthi,

For the first picture, the text annotation is within the axis lines for patty (F), but in the second picture, the text is extended to be included in the Patty and Carol axis lines.

I guess the best description for this is that going from picture 1->2, the graph builder plot dynamically changes, but the text stays fixed. This is an example of the issue I'm having. Usually, I have multiple comment and text annotation which makes it difficult to save and revisit the plot later.

Re: Text annotation in graph builder

The annotations will move quite wildly when you keep resizing your windows, sometimes they might even totally leave the visible space of the window. Some places do work better for annotations than others, inside a frame top-left is really only place which has any chance of working if window keeps resizing. Other kinda ok places are on the left and right outside of the frame and next to the title in outline box.

I'm not sure if there are any ways of doing what you hope to do with annotation (at least with current JMP versions) and you might have to use graphic scripts to create text which stays in place.

Edit: They seem to stay much better in place if you disable fit to window and rescale the frame manually. Not sure if this is a bug related to fit to window.
