Scaled t distribution

Hi,

How can I make scaled t distributions in JMP? I am trying to solve exercise problem 5.7 in "Design and Analysis of Experiments - Douglas C. Montgomery" but got stuck at Scaled t distribution. Please advise?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Scaled t distribution

You need to arrange this data differently to use JMP. Create a new data table with three columns: Copper Content, Temperature, and Warping, and then enter the data row-wise. For example, row 1 might be Temperature = 50, Copper Content = 40, and Warping = 17.20. The data is now ready for analysis, such as a regression model.

You can plot the data now by selecting Graph > Graph Builder, but first, change the modeling type of Copper Content to Ordinal. This change will cause JMP to treat this factor as a grouping variable for your plot.
