RE: Extracting File Names

Hi,

I was just wondering if there was any way to extract the file name of an excel file or data table using JSL.

Any help would be appreciated.

RE: Extracting File Names

In that case, use the <<Get Name and <<Get Path messages for a data table.

The Current Data Table() function may help you as well.

RE: Extracting File Names

We're going to need more information. Extracting filenames from what? Where are the filenames stored?

If you mean, can you get a list of files in a directory then yes, the Files In Directory() function will give you a list of files.

Hi,

I just mean the file name of the current open data table / file.
