The only thing I'll add to @txnelson 's recommendation is that these specifications are 'minimum'. Especially in the RAM section. The way JMP works is, to maximize speed of processing, everything happens in RAM. So the more RAM, and processor speed you can install, the better from a workflow processing speed point of view. Using large data sets, measured in gigabytes, or computationally intensive JMP platforms, with a minimal amount of RAM or a relatively slow processor, you may find the response times not to your liking.
