JSL - script to select range of points in a graph

Hi,

Does JMP have something similar to  a Local Data Filter - script in, option for the rectangular select tool on plots?

Basically I would like to have a "range slider" control for selecting and highlighting an area on the graph (bunch of points on the plot), without deleting the others. (Very similar to what you would do manually by using the Lasso or a rectangular area select on the plot)

The local data filter completly removes the other points (I need them to show but unhighlighted), and the manual rectangular select tool is not accurate for defining the precise range of points to see.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Gokul

If you use a Data Filter, instead of a Local Data Filter, you can select to only use the Select option, and it will retain all data points and just highlight the selected ones

Re: JSL - script to select range of points in a graph

HI,

Thank you!

Now I am trying to automate a bunch of things, so iwas looking for the JSL script version of it. But I guess I can export the filter for the script.

Also since I am plotting different charts I would really love to have the same feature present in the local data filter for each plot as well!

Thanks,
