JMP16 JMPStarter automation example not working

I have JMP 16 and am trying to do OLE automation. I was looking at the JMPStarter example but it doesn't run. I get the "object reference not set to an instance of an object" for every button that I push. I saw from other posts that it was working in JMP 13.

Can anyone confirm that this automation example is working for JMP 16? If yes, is there anything that I have to do to get it to work? I was assuming that I should just be able to open the solution and run it from visual studio. Thanks in advance.

The sample does work for me.  If you are using Visual Studio, you can try the following:

1. Open Preferences in JMP

2. Select Windows Specific

3. Press the Reset Associations button

See if the program runs.
