JMP 17 Pro SEM

Hello, I am using JMP 17 Pro for the multiple-group SEM. When I attempt to create and run the path analysis, I keep getting the error:

Full Information Maximum Likelihood. Failed: Maximum Iterations Exceeded.

Then under Model Comparison, there is a *Convergence FAILURE

I have attempted to reduce the number of items loaded on my latent variables, and attempted combining latent variables.

Is there anything I can do to my model to get path this?

Re: JMP 17 Pro SEM

Hi @KDan,

It's hard to say what could be causing the estimation problems without seeing your model specification and data. If you'd like to share privately, I suggest emailing tech support at [email protected]. Otherwise, feel free to share here. A couple suggestions in the mean time:

1) The "Status tab" can help give some insights into potential issues. Are there any warnings or errors displayed in there?

2) There's a presentation that does a little overview of multiple-group analysis that you might find helpful. The presentation covers a few other topics so the times in the video where MGA is described are (min-sec): 8:40-10:30 and 12:57-22:20.

There might be some pointers in this presentation that can help too.

Best,

~Laura
