JMP 17 Fails to Import Excel File

Hello,

 

I have an excel file I'm trying to import but I am continuously getting an error stating "There was an error opening the file" with no other information. I have read a few similar threads and none of the issues other people had seem to apply to my situation. The file is not currently opened by someone else, and it is an .xlsx file from the newest version of excel.

 

I have tried changing the import preferences to no avail. I cannot even get the excel wizard to open, it fails before that.

I did try to save it to a different location and that didn't work. I will try splitting up the data and see if I can make it work. Unfortunately I'm trying to make a dashboard using this data for other users to access so even If i get it to work splitting it up that may not be a viable long term solution.
