JMP 15 - Distribution Tool: automatically calculate the tolerance interval on start

Dear JMP Community,

 

My team and I switched to JMP 15 a few days ago. We use the distribution tool to assess Process Performance. In the preference menu there is the possibility to check many boxes to customize your analysis (saving us a lot of clicks, thx for that). The only problem is that I checked the boxes for tolerance interval and set my values for confidence level and proportion and this is the only "function" that is not automatically calculated when I start the analysis via the Distribution tool, so we use the red triangle to enable it manually, once the analysis window has opened. Is this intentional? I find it odd, that you can pre-select it in the preference menu, only to find it missing in the distribution analysis.

 

I used the profile manager to create a duplicate of my preferences (see attachment) + here is a screenshot of my preferences for tolerance interval.

You are so close to making this work.

 

All you have to do is send a message to the platform object to get the TI's to show up.

In the JSL below, there is an example of sending the tolerance intervals to the platform.  This script could easily be pasted on to the end of your distribution script that you save to the data table.

 

note the variables that are used as handles for the objects

obj=distribution(...    this gives you the thing to reference

obj<<... this sends the message to the object

"obj" is just a variable name, you can make up your own.
