Is there a way to lock the Y-axis scale in Graph Builder and Process Screening (I-MR Charts)?

Hello JMP Community,

I am looking for a way to lock the Y-axis scale in both Graph Builder and the I-MR charts generated by the Process Screening platform.

My use case is the comparison of the same process characteristic across different products, groups, or filter selections. When the Y-axis rescales automatically after applying a data filter or changing the selection, it becomes difficult to visually compare variation and process behavior between charts. Therefore, I would like to keep the scale unchanged in Control Chart Builder and the I-MR charts generated in the Process Screening Platform.

I am currently using JMP 19.

Thank you for any suggestions.

Hi @RegressionPuma8 :  For Graph Builder, click on the red triangle at the top and select "Lock Scales". Maybe one of our many learned community members can help with the Process Screening Platform?

Hi MRB3855,

Thank you very much for your response.

Does there also happen to be a way to lock the Y-axis scale in Control Chart Builder?

My use case is to compare the same process characteristic across different products, groups, or filter selections. When the Y-axis automatically rescales after applying a data filter or changing the selection, it becomes difficult to visually compare variation and process behaviour between charts.

Many thanks for any suggestions.

Re: Is there a way to lock the Y-axis scale in Graph Builder and Process Screening (I-MR Charts)?

hi @RegressionPuma8 : It appears that in Control Chart Builder if you go to Axis Settings for your Y-axis (double click on Y-axis) and define your own minimum, maximum, and increment  (rather than defaults) then the Y-axis is locked across all variables in the Column Switcher and Filter. If that doesn't work, then I don't know what to suggest.
