How to Represent Two Datasets with Different Styles in JMP Graph Builder?

Dongjin_0-1733114427193.png

I have a question regarding the Graph Builder feature in JMP, as shown in the attached image. The user request is to display two datasets on the same graph but with different styles:

  • Blue Line Data: Represented as a line chart.
  • Red Data: Highlighted as markers at each data point for better visibility.

We are currently using JMP 17 Pro. Is it possible to represent two datasets in different styles within the same Graph Builder chart?

Your insights and guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

You can add multiple different plot types to one graph builder and then disable specific columns from each of them.

Right click and select Add or hold shift and select the graph types from the top to add multiple graph types

Edit: You can find examples how to use Graph Builder from JMP Help Page Essential Graphing,

Example of an Area and Line Chart

You can not graph data using Graph Builder from 2 data tables.  However, you can concatenate the 2 data tables together and then graph the data onto one graph.  See @jthi response above for the graphing details.
