How do I hide and exclude different data for different graphs?

Hello,

I'm hoping someone can help me.  I have a data set which I want to analyse in several different ways - this involves hiding and excluding data in one graph, but including it in another one.  I create one graph, with certain data hidden/excluded, save the script to the data table, then the next graph I create I change the data that is hidden/excluded and save the script.  When I go back to the first graph I have to re-hide/exclude the data to get the same results.  I dont want to split the data into different tables as that would mean updating multiple tables everytime I add new data.  Is there a way to link the data to the graph so I dodnt need to remember what data I hid/excluded for each graph?

Many thanks in advance!

The approach you should use is to use a Local Data Filter directly on the graph you what to Hide and Exclude data. Click on the red triangle in the display output, and select Local Data Filter.
