Functional DOE Analysis with a mixture DOE

Does Functional DOE work when Z, Supplementory factors are mixture components? I got Generalized regression FPCA models with intercepts & negative component effects?

Re: Functional DOE Analysis with a mixture DOE

Hi @frankderuyck,

Sorry, I just saw one of your previous post not receiving any response after 1 year, and thought that JMP Users might be interested by the topic.

One example in the JMP sample library is Formulation For Homogeneity DOE.jmp and the use case is demonstrated here : Example of Functional DOE Analysis

In order to launch an FDOE analysis, you have to enter your DOE factors as Z, Supplementary, and make sure that all factors have their column properties correctly configured :

For Mixture factors, you should have for each factors the following column properties and configuration :

  • Mixture : With Lower and Upper limits specified.
  • Design Role : Mixture
  • Factor Changes : Easy

If the mixture factors are correctly configured and used in the Functional Data Explorer platform, you should be able to launch the FDOE analysis and have a correct mixture model (without intercept):

Sorry for the delay, hope it might help other users,
