Find - or not find?
According to Jmp manual the standard option By Column in the Search/Find window works like this
And indeed, if there are several cells with the same value, Jmp uses this rule to step through the matching cells and at the end it starts a new round from the top left:
- Chapters
- descriptions off, selected
- captions settings, opens captions settings dialog
- captions off, selected
- en (Main), selected
This is a modal window.
Beginning of dialog window. Escape will cancel and close the window.
End of dialog window.
This is a modal window. This modal can be closed by pressing the Escape key or activating the close button.
But:
- Chapters
- descriptions off, selected
- captions settings, opens captions settings dialog
- captions off, selected
- en (Main), selected
This is a modal window.
Beginning of dialog window. Escape will cancel and close the window.
End of dialog window.
This is a modal window. This modal can be closed by pressing the Escape key or activating the close button.
So, if you want to be sure to find a matching cell, please take care that you select the right column (if there is a row selection) - or even easier: select no row or no cell at all.
