Exam Grade Correlations

Greetings

I teach a class and wish to show evidence that the overall student’s performance on the first two exams predicted performance on the third exam.  The exam grade scale is discrete numbers 1 through 5

A telephone call is welcomed

Thank you!

Re: Exam Grade Correlations

Since your request isn't going to result in a life in danger decision, I would first just use Fit Model with your end result as the response, and the 1st and 2nd tests as the model.

You could also change the columns to ordinal, and then use the partition platform using tests 1 and 2 as predictors for test 3.

Re: Exam Grade Correlations

Thank you for taking time to respond

The Fit Model was significant and but the partition platform is new to me

I'll review and contact you again if that's okay

Best
