Defining Factor Constraints

Hi all,

I am trying to create a design with 7 continuous factors, 2 levels each. However due to technical constraints I can not perform the combination of factor 1 (levels 2 & 5) at anything below its maximum in combination with factor 2 (levels 5 & 10) at anything above its minimum. When I add a constraint for F1 min level (2) and F2 max level (10) it gives me a design using 2.15 and 9.75 instead of 2 and 10. I can't test 2.15 and 9.75 in combination any more than 2 and 10. When F1 is at 2, I want F2 to be its min (5) and when F2 is 10 I want F1 to be its max (5). I have tried changing the roles of the factors but then I get the error messages "invalid disallowed combinations script. See log for details" and "The selected terms in the Model outline are linearly dependent on the previous terms. Please press the remove term button and try again."

How do I create this design with these factor constraints?

Thank you for your help,

Emelie

Re: Defining Factor Constraints

It sounds like you are saying that you would like to disallow X1<4.5 and X2>5.5, or something like that?
