Default setting of decimal digits

Hi all,

I would like to set decimal defaults digits of 3, since when I generate graphs and Summary Reports into graphs I have to set manually each time the decimal digits wished.

Is there a possibility to do that through the main Preferencies ?

Thanks a lot for your support,

Regards,

Vinc

Re: Default setting of decimal digits

No, there is no global preference for formatting. Formatting is handled at the level of a variable: a data column attribute. Use Cols > Column Info command to change this attribute (Format > Fixed Dec) for a single column or select all the data columns to assume this format and select Cols > Standardize Attributes to make the change once for all the data columns.

JMP platforms respect this format.

Hi @ArmagVinc ,

Someone has posted this idea to the JMP Wishlist here. You can vote on it, and maybe with enough people, they might implement something in the global Preferences to do that. Of course, it would have to be relative to the magnitude of the number being displayed and not an absolute number of decimal points.
