Default Error Bar Color

Hello,

I was wondering if there was a way to create a default colour for error bars in JMP (e.g. under Preferences > Platforms)? At present, the JMP default is to colour them the same colour as the bar in a bar chart (albeit, maybe a shade darker). This can make it quite difficult to read.

Apologies if this has been answered in a previous post. Thanks for the help.

Re: Default Error Bar Color

Quickly checking I couldn't find any preference to control that. You might want to create a wish list item for that and it might be implemented at some point.

You can change the color from Customize menu manually (or from legend if you are already using Color zone)

If you use black it seems to be using the default color, so if you want them to be black, use custom color (from Other) and change one of the rgb values to 1

Re: Default Error Bar Color

Thanks, current solution was to use Legend Settings but this is far quicker. Appreciate you looking into it.

If this is something you have to do all the time, you could create a script and add it to toolbar so it would be fairly easy to access.

Re: Default Error Bar Color

Could you save it as a personal preset using JMP 18?
