Content of JMP cells invisible while typing

If I'm typing text or numbers into a cell,  the cell shows nothing but a gray/white vertical line, and no text or numbers at all until I tab out of the cell. can someone help with this ?

You didn't post what version of JMP or what OS?  If it's Windows, there is a known issue, see here:

 

I have lost the ability to drag and drop columns in graph builder. 

 

If not, contact tech support.
