Can I embed a live, interactive figure in power point generated in JMP?

I am new to JMP and I am using only the standard JMP 18.

So if I generated a figure in JMP, can I embed the live, interactive figure in power point? So the figure can be automatically updated when data table is updated in JMP. It is like the live function in PowerBI. It will be a good reason to upgrade to Pro if it can do that.

Thanks.

To make the figure automatically update, that can be done within Powerpoint. Use Insert -> Picture -> This Device. Instead of clicking insert, use "Insert and Link":

Now, every time the image file is changed, it will update the next time Powerpoint is opened. It doesn't update when the Data Table is changed, but it will update every time a new image is saved.

If you want the plot to be dynamic and interactive, you could export it to HTML or use JMP Live. As far as I know Powerpoint does not support HTML objects embedded in the slide, it only embeds a link to the HTML file, which you could then open with a browser.

在PPT中插入-插入和链接,下次JMP保存图片在原路径和原文件名就可以,当再次打开PPT就是更新后的图片

Hi @Caozheng0115

I agree with the answers given below regarding the export to powerpoint and how to automatically change the image using the insert and link function in Powerpoint.
About interactivity: You can export an Interactive HTML with Data and this will keep some of the interactivity on. The issue here is that you can open this on a browser so in a context of a powerpoint presentation you will have to get out and open a browser(no internet connection needed though)
An idea for interactive graphs that automatically regenerate when new data are coming in is JMP Live which is the Collaborative analytics software of JMP. You can create graphs/reports publish them connect them with one or more databases, add a scheduled refresh and anyone can access with a browser regardless if they have or not JMP. You can check more here https://www.jmp.com/en/software/collaborative-analytics-software

I hope that helps,
Spyros
