There are situations when experiments (characterization, screening, optimization, etc.) are not possible or are prohibitive. This may be due to time constraints, physical limitations, cost, or impact on customers. When these issues arise one should consider building a stochastic model to simulate the process of interest. One way this can be done is to use the discrete-event simulation tool in the Simulation Studio for JMP add-on.
