New Window Opens Every Time When Open New File(Version 18.2)

Hi,

I am writing to report an issue with JMP 18.2.

Whenever I start the new file, a secondary window opens automatically in addition to the main workspace, which unnecessarily consumes system resources.

I have tried like Reset the file association for JMP 

Unfortunately, none of these actions have resolved the problem.

Could you please advise if there are any additional steps or settings I can adjust to prevent the extra window from opening on launch?

not sure if you have resolved this.  I had the same issue and the notepad method discussed here resolved the issue.
