  • How to calculate 'slope' or gradient

I am looking for a way to calculate the slope or gradient of data. I need to do the same function as slope (X1:X4, Y1:Y4) in excel but to be able to program it into a jmp script.

    Regards

    Steve

  • DOE analysis in JMP, ocnfused

I used DOE ----> Screening Design to set up a DOE study for 1out put (height, maximize purpose) with 3 factors (rate, temp, speed, all continuous). I chose the design of full factorial (8 runs + 2 center points).

After I got the results of the totally 10 runs, I type them into the design table.

    Here, I got confusion.

Now I have two ways to analyze the data.

    1. Analyze ---> Fit Model.

    In this ...

  • Need some help on testing some assumptions and validating data

I was hoping that someone might be able to help me accomplish the following tasks in JMP. I'm kind of new to the software.

    I need to test:
    1) Dependent dichotomous? Independent variables metric or dichotomous?
    2) Ordinal independent variable included in analysis?

There is some more, but I'll just throw this out there and see if anyone can help out.

    Thanks

  • Significance of augmented Dickey-Fuller tests?

The time series analysis platform tests for stationarity with three augmented Dickey-Fuller (ADF) tests: zero mean, single mean and trend. It does not report a significance value for any of the tests. How do you know if stationarity is present?

  • Updating Charts and Tables in a Custom Display Window using JSL

I recently built a script to create a TOPSIS multi-attribute decision making analysis on some of my data to help pick the best case. The actual calculations are fairly basic from a mathematic perspective, and they work just fine. I built a window to display some information about the data I am working with, the importance weightings used in the calculations in bar chart form, a scatterplot matrix ...

  • Least squares regression - removing insignificant terms quickly?

    Hi all-

I am doing least squares fits, up to cubic with 15 X's. Only the 1st several ever turn out "significant", so those at the "bottom" with small p values could be removed...one at a time...as long as R^2 doesn't go down. This would be a slow iterative process, but would result in a much shorter equation. I know of one other tool that will do this.

    Can JMP?

    Thanks,
    Dave

  • One-tail vs. Two-tail tests

    Hi,

I am doing the means comparison using one-way ANOVA in Jmp. When I look at the detailed report, I see the p-values for both one-tail and two-tail t-tests.
However, the comparison circles seem to display according only to the two-tail confidence levels. The same about LSD (least significant difference) - it is calculated only for the two-tailed test.

Question: can I change it somewhere so that one...
