How does Random seed change when I click apply?
I use the Random Reset function to set a random seed in a simulation. How does the random seed change when I click Apply on the random formula? Here is an example script generating three random normal(0,1) numbers
NamesDefaultToHere(1); Random Reset( 1234 ); dt=NewTable("test", AddRows(3), New Column( "X", Numeric, "Continuous", Formula( Random Normal( 0, 1 ) ), ), );

Bi-plots with error bars for both axis
I would like to construct a bi-plot (double plot; two-way distribution), see example below. It would be a central point marking the mean for a given group, with error bars (standard deviation) for both parameters (both axis). I can't find a way to do this easily in jmp, and would appreciate some hints or suggestions. Thanks. Morten, Norway.

Fitting generalized linear mixed models - missing response distribution options
Hi there,I am using the Generalized Linear Mixed Model platform in JMP Pro 17.2 to analyze data for my dissertation. My response data is positive and continuous but not normal. I would like to use Gamma for the response distribution, but the only available options are Poisson and Binomial. Gamma (+others) are available under the Generalized Regression platform, but one of my effects is random so I...

How to do a MANCOVA in JMP
Hi, I would be hugely grateful if someone could tell me the steps to run a MANCOVA in JMP. I have one independent variable (study site, whereby there were 4 study study sites), two dependent response variables (two principle components obtained from a PCA analysis) and two covariates (body size and body condition). Any insights as to how to build the model would be great. Thanks.

When we bootstrap a nonlinear model, how are the bootstrap parameters calculated?
JMP has proved to be an invaluable tool, and we are using JMP's nonlinear platform to fit various kinetic models that are now being used for regulatory purposes. We need to be able to describe to various agencies around the world such as FDA, EMEA, how the bootstrap parameter list is generated within JMP. We don't need extreme detail, just a description in plain lay-person's English that can ...

The formatting that is inherent in a journal displaying a panel box is lost when saving that journal as a pdf. Is there a way to maintain the thoughtful look and feel of the journal?

Cox PH Survival plot with CI?
We're trying to run a survival analysis with Cox proportional hazards for time to reinjure knees after surgery for those who return to sport before/after 9 months with covariate of age and level of sports. I'd like to be able to generate the survival plots with 95CI's along with the analyses.
I've watched the recent tutorial but it didn't address these points.
Can anyone point me to resources to do ...RodWhiteley
