  • HPLC Equivalence Study: Simultaneous Change of Instrument and Column

Hello everyone, I would appreciate your advice on the most appropriate statistical approach for an HPLC equivalence study. Background We need to demonstrate equivalence between our current and future HPLC systems. However, two factors are changing simultaneously: the HPLC instrument;the chromatographic column. In routine use, these changes will not necessarily be implemented simultaneously, but th...

  • How Replicates are Treated in the Functional Data Explorer

Hello, I have functional data I have entered into the functional data explorer. I have three biological replicates of absorbance data over time, which shows the growth of an organism in triplicate over time using an absorbance measure. This is dense data, and I have measurements in each replicate every 30 minutes for 24 hours. This means for a given organism, I have three absorbance measurements b...

  • How to fit a dataset into a theoretical distribution?

I want to fit a dataset into a theoretical distribution to see the best-fit modes. I tried Analyse > Distribution > Continuous Fit > Fit all. I can get the AIC and BIC values, but not the Anderson–Darling values. Essentially, I want to produce a table like the one below. Can anyone help? Distribution Anderson–Darling AICc BIC Rank Lognormal 0.78 552.1 556.8 1 Gamma 1.04 556.9 561.5 ...

  • Graph builder bins

In Graph Builder, when a continuous variable is used as Group X with Levels(6) (e.g. Group X(:Mean rank, Levels(6))), how are the interval boundaries determined? They appear not to be equal-width or equal-frequency bins. Is the algorithm documented anywhere? I'm preparing a manuscript and would like to describe accurately how Group X intervals are generated. I understand that Graph Builder automat...

  • "Fixed" assumption of Fisher's Exact Test

A 2x2 contingency table contains counts of variables X1 and Y from retrospective data. The goal to is to test for association between X1 and Y. One of four (25%) contingency table cells has an expected count less than 5, so Chi-square Test of Independence is not valid. Is Fisher's Exact Test a valid alternative approach if the data is retrospective and the X1 and Y counts were not "fixed" (aka, X1...

  • SPC: Run test 2

The customised run test2, can be customised from 7 to 11, say you set it to 7 and you have 7 + another 11 points all below the centerline why does the process screen function.  Why does it

    1) Record 11 as the number of alarms, where in fact there is only 1 single stepchange
    2) Surely it shoud just record 1, as there is only 1 stepchange that affect 7+11 points.  You are not goin to ivestigate all 18...

  • JMP Live Event Queue Freeze - Jobs Stalling and Event Queue Backlog

Our company uses JMP Live, version 19.0.2 We make use of JMP Live's event scheduler to automatically refresh reports via SQL queries. Typically our data refresh jobs <1 minute to complete with a handful that take 2-3 minutes at most.  However, at least once a week, our scheduled refresh pool becomes "stuck". Data refreshes and reports which usually take seconds to complete instead stay active in t...

  • JMP Live Local Data Filter Auto Update off by default?

I've published a JMP Live report and realized the Auto-Update is true/on by default in Local Data Filter. Is there an option to turn that off by default?? This will be very helpful as I don't have to uncheck it every time I load the report. When multi-selecting the filters, I often realize after selecting first option since it tries to re-load the entire report and it takes time to reload with lar...
