How to read SAS data sets into JMP and write JMP data tables to SAS data sets.

Read a SAS data set

  • You can open a SAS data set directly from the JMP menu by selecting File > Open.
  • (For versions up to JMP 17) You can load the data by selecting File > SAS > Browse Data and connecting to the SAS server.

Write to a SAS data set

  • You can export it by selecting "Save As" and choosing "SAS Data Set (*.SAS7BDAT)".
  • (For versions up to JMP 17) You can also export by selecting File > SAS > Export Data to SAS and connecting to a SAS server.

Note: The File > SAS item has been removed from JMP 18.
