Can I calculate the ICC (intraclass correlation coefficient)?

ICC can be output using the Measurement System Analysis platform.

Using the data below as an example, we will explain how to output ICC(2,1) and ICC(1,1).

undefined

  1. Select Analyze → Quality and Process → Measurement System Analysis.
  2. Change the "Variation Plot Type" on the left side of the screen to "Standard Deviation."
  3. Set the model type to Intersection.
  4. Specify the columns as follows and click OK:
    [Y, Response variable]: "value"
    [Part, specimen ID]: "Subject"
    [X, group variable]: "rater"
  5. From the red triangle button in the upper left of the "Measurement System" report, select "EMP Analysis."
→ The intraclass correlation (including bias and interaction) in the report "EMP Analysis" is ICC(2,1).

* If you do not specify "rater" in [X, Grouping], ICC(1,1) will be output.
