I would like to calculate the 95th percentile, but it is not displayed in the quantile report of "Univariate Distribution". Is there a way to calculate it?

For JMP 10 and later

In JMP 10 and later, you can easily calculate this using the following method:

Click the red triangle button to the left of the column name in the report to select one of the following calculation methods:

  • Select Display Options > Set Quantile Intervals and set the quantile interval to 0.05.
  • Select "Display Options" -> "Custom Quantiles" and enter 0.95 as the quantile.

For JMP 9 and earlier

In versions prior to JMP 9, you can use the Summarize menu to calculate quantiles for any percentage:

  1. From the menu, select Table → Summary.
  2. Select the target column and enter, for example, "95", in the "For quantile, enter value (%)" field on the bottom left.
  3. Click the statistics button on the right, select "Quantiles," and click OK to output the specified quantiles to the newly output summary table.
