How to display the 95% confidence interval for the median

In JMP 10 and later, you can select Custom Quantiles as an option for continuous reports.
This option allows you to calculate estimates for any quantile and their confidence intervals.

  1. In a univariate distribution report, click the red triangle button ( ) in the upper left corner of the continuous variable and select Display Options -> Custom Quantiles.
  2. A dialog box will appear asking you to enter the quantile, so enter "0.5" and click OK.
