What inspired this wish list request? Something I have talked about with people before, but the wish list is the better place for the request
What is the improvement you would like to see? When you release an addin you can set the min/max JMP version. If the version of JMP open doesn't jive with this addin, the addin isn't shown at all. I want an update so the addin is visible but grayed out.
Why is this idea important? When an addin is sometimes there or not, or it's a newly installed addin that doesn't show up, the first inclination of a user is to think something went wrong so they may try again to install or they call the person who made the addin (me) and ask why it's not working. If it was present but grayed out, it's much easier to ensure that the addin is present, but something else is the cause.
