What inspired this wish list request?
My company has started to use the Protection feature in Excel to add “Confidential” restrictions that validate the user’s credentials.
Unfortunately, the Protection in Excel prevents me from opening the file in JMP even when I have the correct credentials. I get an error opening the file.
What is the improvement you would like to see?
Native support in JMP to open Excel files with Restricted access the same way that the file can be opened in Excel
Why is this idea important? Without this capability I cannot use JSL to open Excel files with Restricted access. That means i will have to move my automation out of JMP and into Excel.
