Script Editor - Add possibility to save script before run to temporary file

I would like to have possibility to save JMP script when ran to user defined folder (determined in Preferences). It would be nice to choose folder, possibly affect the naming a little (timestamp) and how many files should be kept saved per script.

Currently if the option Autosave before Run is checked, the script will be either overwritten or written to temp folder once.

FileSnapper  has its own problems (windows only, dropped keystroke or two every five minutes, rough edges in the GUI, might stop snapping if it catches an Esc key) but it has saved my JSL several times. It makes periodic snapshots of open JSL windows with unsaved changes. I've currently got a lot of snapshots...

The FileSnapper add-in removed 0 snapshots older than 1000 days
and keeps 5881 snapshots (oldest is now 327 days old.)
The FileSnapper add-in used 2.0 seconds during startup.

That history is mostly useful for a week or so by using its diff tool to see what I broke.

Select two files, right-click the pair->compare.Select two files, right-click the pair->compare.

I also wish something like it was built in.

how about saving the script in the cloud - with automatic version control?

Then
Autosave before Run

feels like magic.
