Row Legend -- Not Applying to Row States

One seemingly simple issue I have in JMP 16.1 is when using a Row Legend within platforms like Fit Y by X and Variability Chart, the legend added is applied as a color/marker to the full data set. This can be an issue as I usually just want that legend applied for that single graph, rather than applied universally within my data set.

Below is an example from the Big Class data set. It may not be desired to have that row legend now be fixed for the full data file. This is a very simple example where you can reproduce it in Graph Builder. But it would still be good to get the color/marker for other platforms.
