PDF export for large data set graphs - size reduction

What inspired this wish list request?

We are using JSL to create charts for very heavy datasets, and exporting them to PDF for external users with no JMP access.
The size of PDF is too big to handle sometimes, there could be dozens of charts in the same pdf with millions of points per charts,
we get PDFs of above 700-800MBytes sometimes, and they are too heavy to open and navigate.

What is the improvement you would like to see?

we want to preserve the options to search for text in the pdf, and keep the resolution of the charts high, but we don't need the plot data to be vector based.
So a good solution would be to convert the charts to flat hi-res images and embed them in the pdf with the surrounding text kept searchable.

Why is this idea important?

This is a common issue for all users who export PDFs with charts that shows large datasets.
