We want to hear your ideas for improving JMP software.

We consider several factors when looking for what ideas to add to JMP. This includes what will have the greatest benefit to our customers based on scope, needs and current resources. Product ideas help us decide what features to work on next. Additionally, we often look to ideas for inspiration on how to add value to developments already in our pipeline or enhancements to new or existing features.

Movable series labels in Graph Builder

I would like to see movable labels for series in graph builder.  I am thinking of something like the labels that can be assigned to individual data points, but they would point to a smoother or a line instead of a specific data point.  I am color blind and this would help me identify the lines.

I'm pleased to report that this wish was granted in the JMP 16 timeframe.

 

Right-click on a legend item and choose Label. There are multiple Label options from the legend item including Name, Min Value, Max Value, First Value, and Last Value. Once these labels are added to the graph, the labels can be dragged and repositioned within the graph.
