What inspired this wish list request? 

Easy and automatic access to "fresh" information on JMP community or live events,...

What is the improvement you would like to see? 

• JMP home screen, split the right side in two with an area dedicated to news (new versions, webinars, events, etc.) with web links or even a web page displayed. The page would be automatically refreshed at startup if JMP is connected to internet

User should definitely be able to disable it (I don't want "advertisements" in my applications I have already paid for, looking at you Windows...) and I think it should even be disabled by default but it could be helpful to some people.

We will be modifying the home page in the next couple of weeks. Below is a sample that I think more closely aligns with your request,

The Discussions, Events, and Blogs will be updated as new content is available. In future versions, we'll add more "personalization" (most likely based on rank).
