Included Row Legend Field for Chart Plotting Interface

What inspired this wish list request?

Currently, when user plot charts with build-in user interface (such as Fit X by Y, Variability / Attribute Gauge (Multivari Chart, etc.), row legend can only be done by right click charts and select <Row Legend> from the menu. User need to trigger row legend manually again and again if chart window closed / plot charts in a new window for side-by-side reference, etc. It is not recall-able from anywhere. 

 

Hence, hope it could be included in UI and make it recall-able to reduce the needs to manual trigger for it.

Hi @Toy , thank you for this request. While this is not a complete solution, here are a few options that might help.

  • For exploratory purposes (i.e. to reproduce the graph shown), Graph Builder makes this easy.
  • Within a table, for a particular analysis, you can save the script to the data table - setting the row legend is saved with the script.
  • And, if you repeat analyses with the same data structure (i.e. row legend variable names), Platform Presets in JMP 18 can help.
